Carlsbad Caverns
In 1923, in his report to the U.S. Department of the Interior, after investigating reports about Carlsbad Caverns, Inspector Robert Holley wrote, "I am wholly conscious of the feebleness of my efforts to convey in words the deep conflicting emotions, the feeling of fear & awe, and the desire for an inspired understanding of the Divine Creator's work which presents to the human eye such a complex aggregate of natural wonders." There was no way my camera was going to capture the shear enormity of the place with its massive halls, cathedral cielings & bottomless pits. You really have to see this place to believe it but I've posted a few pictures to give some idea of the many stunning formations to be found there.
