Devil's Garden
For the truly adventurous I recommend a hike around Devil's Garden & Primitive Loop Trail which, at 7.2 miles, is the longest maintained trail in Arches National Park. It is located at the north end of the park and contains the largest concentration of significant natural arches in the world. It begins at Landscape Arch. After that you proceed up a somewhat treacherously steep cliff face. Once that is scaled however the trail levels off more or less until the northern most end of the loop at Dark Angel Monolith. At this point, most people return back the way they came. But, I recommend returning along the eastern side of the loop. Going that way you'll begin a gradual descent which involves some scaling and climbing and can be a bit tricky at times. I'll admit, the whole loop was more hiking than I bargained for but it took me through some of the most beautiful scenery I've ever seen & even across the top of a fin which was very cool. I don't regret it one bit. It took me about 3 1/2 hours to complete.
